The shape of the filter plate is mainly round and square two kinds, with grey cast iron, spheroidal graphite cast iron, steel core outer bread soliton or resin, aluminum alloy and engineering plastic. The two sides of the filter plate protruded from the middle concave, and there were 14 holes at the center as the pulp inlet. There are many trenches on the concave surface. These grooves are called transverse drains. The drainage channel is connected with the filter outlet at the lower part of the filter plate. The shape of the drain is centripetal, spiral and straight grid. A turbid plate made of cast iron or aluminum alloy has an annular groove for sealing parts on the flange of the filter plate side, and a rubber grommet is embedded in the groove. Generally, no sealing pomegranate is installed on the flange of the filter plate of engineering plastics. The aluminum sieve plate and filter cloth are used as two sides of the filter plate, and the copper hollow bolts are clamped on the feed inlet.
The movable roof and the fixed roof are actually equivalent to one-way filter plates, also called movable plugs and fixed plugs. The center of the fixed roof has a pulp inlet, and the pipe is connected with the slurry pump. The center of the movable roof has no holes, and directly bears the force of the compacting device.
The crossbeam is used to support the weight of all filter plates and ripples, and it has enough strength and rigidity to bear the pulling force of pressing and filtering. The cross section of the beam has two kinds of mesh and rectangle, and the bending rigidity of the rectangular section is better, which has been applied more and more widely.
When the Filter Press is operated, the filter plates installed with filter cloth are placed on the cross beam of the rack first and then pressed by the compressing device. In this way, a filter chamber is formed between every two filter plates. The impeller is pumped into the filter chamber and then enters each filter chamber after the inlet of the fixed roof. Under pressure, filtrate is filtered out through filtrate cloth, sieve plate and drainage trough on filter plate. Solid materials form filter cake on the Shen chamber due to the blocking of filter cloth. When the filter chamber is filled with filter cake and the filtrate is flowing out very slowly, the pulp can be stopped, the slurry is removed, the filter plate is loosened, the pancake is removed, and then installed. During the filtration process, if the filtrate from the filtrate outlet is found to be cloudy, it is indicated that the outlet of the filter is not well installed or damaged, and the outlet should be closed so as to avoid the loss of the slurry.
